First Holy Communion June 2010
Please complete the application forms and return to the Presbytery by Sunday 18 October 2009. This enables all the planning, the preparation of resources and timetable for the children to be prepared ready for the start of classes.
Classes will start in November, but the exact programme is still being drawn up. First Holy Communion day will be Sunday 20 June 2010.
The classes take place on each Sunday of school term-time and are held in the church.
The children are expected to attend each class. Attendance will be reviewed on an on-going basis and First Communion may be deferred to the following year if a number of sessions are missed.
There are a number of meetings for parents through the year held at the same time as the children’s classes; dates will be on the timetable issued in October.
To support Child protection procedures we ask an adult from each family to sit in the class with the catechist on a rota basis. If you are unable to attend your session please arrange to swap with another parent, as the class will be cancelled if a second adult is not available to provide cover.
